Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Bin Laden was hailed as one of the top-hated individuals in the world. Hitler has the number one spot for the most hated individual in the modern –civilization. Do you hate Hitler, did you hate Bin Laden? I heard a Pastor say over the pulpit, “I hate George Bush?” A Christian hating anyone is an oxy-moron right? Do you hate George Bush? Do you hate Barack Obama? Through the medium of television we are able to hate people that we don’t even know or have even met. Through Gospel Gossip websites we can see “so-called” Christian people compromising over and over and begin to dislike them or even hate them. I was in the presence of a well-known minister one –day when I heard him say “I wish someone would kill T.D. Jakes…” I said “what did you say?” He said “I wish someone would kill T.D. Jakes” I immediately told him that he had better be careful of the spirit he was entertaining. The Bible says:
1John 3:15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
Look, you can’t go around hating T.D. Jakes; Eddie Long, Paula White or whoever you think is making Christianity look bad. I don’t hate Jakes – I have never met him. Now, I can point some things that he has said or done in light of scripture…but we must be very careful. There is a thin-line between exposing and slandering, railing, and gossiping. If you don’t know the difference = you better leave it alone. But know this, NO CHRISTIAN, I repeat, NO CHRISTIAN can eat a consistent diet of mess about other Christians or Hip-hop celebrities and grow. Our focus needs to be the word of God and what God is calling us to do. Our focus needs to be winning the lost, and helping baby Christians to grow. Our focus needs to Christ. I know a lot of people who have gotten off-track because they wouldn’t forgive people that they didn’t even know. Isn’t it enough of a challenge to forgive the people we deal with everyday? I surely don’t want things in my heart against people I don’t even know. Have you heard the latest about Jakes? No – and I don’t want to know anymore than I already know. What good is it going to do me to know the Tonex performed in another Gay Club.- we already know what he stands for; so all of his actions are going to follow suit. Look people you better forgive everybody: Jakes, James Cleveland; Tonex; all the Holy –hip-hoppers; Steve Harvey; JAY-Z; Bishop Long; Kirk Franklin. I think sometimes people get our ministry wrong – even though sometimes it is necessary to speak out about individuals and what they do – it is never appropriate for any of us to harbor ill feelings, unforgiveness, or hate towards anyone, for anything. Why? Because God forgave us all of our trespasses.
Colossians 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Whether a person is in the world or in the Church we are to love them. Why? Because anyone can change and/or get saved! I know some people will say – “He’s going soft…” or “he’s getting weak…” No! This is how I have always been. I was talking to my son one day about a Famous Gospel Artist that we both know- and I had to catch myself as I begin telling things that I HEARD the guy did over 25 years ago. The Holy Spirit convicted me and said – if he has repented of this why are you still repeating this? This is why it so dangerous to continue to rehearse the faults and sins of others over and over – because eventually you may end up holding against someone what God himself has released, forgiven, and forgotten.
Psalms 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
I know some of you may get mad at this, but I challenge you – show me one place in the Bible that commands us to Hate anyone believer or unbeliever. Show me one verse of scripture that tells Christians to continue to rehearse and discuss the sins, abominations, and wickedness of others. Folks I am running into alot of folk who know all of the latest on Jakes, Long, White, the Illuminati, and everybody else- but don’t lead anyone to Christ, not doing anything effective for the kingdom, and are even failing in natural things – like holding down a job, or submitting to their own husbands. These are those I called Granola Christians- granola is made up of Nuts, Fruits, and Flakes- Don’t Be a Granola!!!! Selah!
