  1. I thank God for my mother Gwendolyn Elaine…She has been a great encourager in my life. We have cried together, laughed together, prayed together, and thank God she is with me; living in the same city and she worships with me. I thank God that when she was facing life’s trials she never gave up; she never turned to hard drugs or alcohol; she never abandoned me; thank God, thank God She didn’t abort me. My mother is a strong woman…who became successful through much struggle. She reached every goal and fulfilled her dreams. I learned to love reading and writing by her example…and she gave me over to trustworthy men to teach me the things she couldn’t. Love you mom! Thanks for everything! May God continue to use you in the Kingdom!

  2. MY MOTHER WAS THE WOMAN WHO WORKED ENDLESSLEY TO PROVIDE FOR OUR FAMILY THE BEST WAY SHE KNEW HOW.

ALTHOUGH A FOREIGNER TO THIS LAND AT FIRST, SHE ADAPTED AND MADE ENDS MEET.

SHE LOVED US IN WAYS WE COULD NOT UNDERSTAND AT FIRST,

THROUGH DICIPLINE, EMOTIONAL AFFECTION, AND THOSE FAMOUS STARE DOWNS (LOL).

NO MATTER THE DAY OR THE HOUR, I KNEW THAT SHE WOULD ALWAYS MAKE TIME TO DEMONSTRATE WHAT HARD WORK AND KEEPING FAMILY TOGETHER WAS ALL ABOUT.

THE LOVE, THE NURTURE, THE ABILITY TO PERSEVERE THROUGH ALL TRIALS…

    I LOVE YOU MOM.

  3. Growing up many would say I was a “daddy’s girl”. As I have grown into a woman, became a wife and mother I found a new appreciation for my mother. She is simply amazing!!! The glue that holds the puzzle pieces together and keeps our family functioning so seamlessly. She played such a vital role into who I am as a woman and the mother I pray I become to my daughter. I was recently able to spend some uninterrupted time with my mom and for that I am a better mother. Mom you are God fearing, caring, kind, generous, unselfish and I will be forever greatly for what you have taught me even without knowing it. So Mom for all those things you did that you think went unnoticed THANKYOU!! I LOVE YOU and see you soon!!

  4. Janet Fay! What a strong, little lady! Growing up it seemed as if she was 10ft tall as I was very afraid of her! Being a single parent, you would have never known it because she took care of business. I am very grateful that my mom ushered my siblings and I into adulthood which made us responsible adults because of her great rearing. She’s sweet and creative and I love her.

  5. I love my mom! Amo a mi mama! I first have to thank the Lord for blessing me with the woman He chose for me to call mother. Being a mother is not easy. I can understand this now as I have children of my own .This precious woman in my life not only gave me life, but taught me the principals that I would need in this life… The most important one was the FEAR AND LOVE OF THE LORD. I am thankful that I have been able to share a wonderful lifetime of memories of love, joy, laughter, and of course being taught through those not so easy life experiences. I have so much love and respect for her. I love the passion that she has to win souls for Christ! Her evangelistic spirit! She loves the Lord and has a special relationship with Him that through those years of my rebelliousness she battled it out on her knees praying for her daughter’s soul to keep. And He did. Wow! The power of a praying mother! My mom is awesome! This special woman is also a very hard working woman, hospitable and always thinking of ways to bless others and encourage them. My mom is a woman of many talents, a virtuous woman! I admire and cherish my mom and consider her as a special gift from God to me. My mom has been and still is a blessing to me and now to my own little family. I am the woman I am today because she raised me! She never gave up on me. She is indeed one of a kind ❤

  6. As a young child growing up, you usually thank your mother for all the things she does that you can see and observe such as wash your dirty laundry or cook or tend to you when you’re sick. But it’s not until you’re grown that you actually start to take into account the things your mother does for you behind the scenes such as pray for you, intercede for you when your father wants to punish you, brags about you to everyone, protects you when you were too young to know what was going on, not saying a word to anyone whenever she found something that knew would embarrass you, always looking after your best interest because she loved you so much, and trying so hard to be the best mother she knows how. Those things are the most important but at many times the most overlooked. Thank God I have a mother who does all those things out in the open and in private. Regina Long is the best mother anyone child could ask for. She is the best example of a mother to any girl growing up I know. Her work ethic and dedication to her family makes me want a wife just like her on the inside. I want to thank her for all of the things she’s did and continues to do as I am now growing up in into adulthood. Can’t wait for the next part of my life where she can witness me having a family of my own and sheddding her wisdom to my future wife and I. And I one day honoring and serving her as she’s done for me. Great thanks to the mother who was good to me, my stomach and my taste buds. Love you mama!! Happy Mother’s Day!!!
